What Does Behavior Analysis Actually Want to Do? Goals of the Science Explained

Ever wonder what behavior analysts are really trying to accomplish? In this video, we break down the three core scientific goals of behavior analysis: description, prediction, and control, and explain what each one means in plain language.

We'll explore how behavior analysts describe behavior by defining and measuring it systematically, how prediction allows us to anticipate when and why behaviors occur, and what control really means (hint: it's not as sinister as it sounds) and why it's the ultimate test of a true scientific understanding of behavior. We'll also connect these three goals to real-world examples.

We will be diving deep into the test content outline over on our Youtube channel. Check out the video here.
